I know I should've made this journal ages ago but here it is now.



RULES FOR MY WALLPAPERS

I make wallpapers and upload them here at dA fro two main purposes:

1) So that deviants here can view the wallpapers I make and hopefully like what they see.

2) So that people can use them as their own wallpapers and share the love for a certain series. Eg the more people use FF XIII wallpapers, the more love it shows towards FF XIII

This means that you do not have to ask me if you wish to you it as your own desktop. Why should you when I'm allowing everyone the chance my wallpapers at anytime. HOWEVER I will not tolerate my wallpapers being resubmitted here by a different dA user (unless it's for a club) and claim that it's theirs. There's no need to since my wallpapers will exist here so why have two fo the same? That's what we call art theft. Now that hasn't happened to me ever and I hope it stays that way.

If you wish to feature any of my wallpapers either here at dA or at a different website, all you have to do is just notify me and I'll be more than happy to accept since it's my wallpapers that'll be gaining more views. I just need to know that you're featuring them with my permission.

If you wish to use any of my wallpapers for a different purpose, then simply ask for permission and depending on what it is, I'll either give or refuse the permission.

RULES FOR MY FORUM SIGS

I make sigs for one primary reason:

1) So that I can use them when I'm in forums.

Pretty simple right? Though the main reason for myself, I decided to upload my sigs here as well since they're also GFX works and some turn out really satisfying (I'm no pro at sig making ) and so I felt that other people should use them as well. Why not? It just shows more love for whatever the sig is about.

For my sigs however, I've got a different set of rules compared to my wallpaper rules. If you wish to use them in forums or other appropriate sites, then simply ask for permission and I'll gladly approve it. Then what you must do is when you use that sig, you must have a little text uder it, crediting me.

Once I was looking through a forum I hadn't been to for quite some time and as I was browsing, someone's sig caught my attention. This other user was using a sig that I'd uploaded at dA. At first when I only looked at the sig only, I kinda felt suprised and a bit unhappy. Suprised because it's never happened before and a bit unhappy that it was being used without my permission. But right under the sig was this "Credits to CrossDominatriX5 at dA", with the link to the my main page. Now that made me really pleased. Even though she'd never asked for permission, she was crediting me and that's all that matters. So that's the only exception I'm willing to accept. Other than that, I do wish to know that you're using my sig at a different sig and I'll approve it.



I hope this journal has made things more clearer for everyone regarding my rules and policies and I hope everyone understands why I've made such rules.
